ORC WEEK 5 : One Room Challenge

THE LARGE FURNITURE : Over the past few weeks, I’ve been preparing and implementing the Modern Glam nursery design. Now it’s time to take you along in the design process with me and my Better Homes & Gardens One Room Challenge friends.

You know you are getting to the end when you finally start installing the large pieces of furniture. Luckily this design was created knowing that I would reuse some pieces like the crib and the rocking chair.

By now you know that I’m completing this design alongside Interior Design bloggers across the nation. We are teaming up to finish out those spaces that need extra love. We are sharing the experience with you for inspiration and ideas.

Putting the crib in it’s place right under that huge dump truck art was just want I needed. Being that I was tired and pregnant, it took a lot to gather the energy to push through. Isn’t it just perfect!?! Love how the modern crib plays against the traditional wall detailing. The dump truck adds just the perfect pop of color too.

Every little needs a bookshelf covered in beautiful things right? This wall hung bookshelf from Pottery Barn will be filled to the brim. Love the gold supports standing out while the white shelf’s disappear as not to compete with the wall detail.

Etsy has a bunch of gems just waiting to be discovered. I found this sweet felt mobile from Dundry Hill and couldn’t resist. I’m not usually one to go for primary colors but the neutral pallet of this room allowed me to stretch into those color ways. And it was a real joy.
